Lady and the Tramp.

TwizzlersTwizzlersTwizzlers. never.again. Oh TCNJ, what a great time. I swear all that you need here are great friends and it's almost a guarantee that you will have fun. And OH did we have fun....

So after quite the night, Aly and I got up and got ready for my 10 am class. Packed everything up and headed out to the car. GET THIS. I thought that I lost $30 yesterday and was rullll sad about it, because I wouldn't be able to go and buy food and go to the diner and fat shack and all that craziness. (uhh yeah, of course I want food....surprised?!). ONLY TO FIND THE MONEY BY THE CAR. made. my. day. So after jumping up and down and Aly telling me to get in the car because I would be late she dropped me off outside of my class and I made it right on time. Things were seriously looking up today.

After my CS class I went to the lib cafe for meal equiv. Definitely a smoothie kinda day. I went with stawberry-mango. Perfect choice. So I went to Anthropology next which wasn't so bad. We talked about relationships in a culture. There are more than you think. Questions asked were things like: How do you identify with people who are not your family? How do you represent yourself as part of a relationship with anyone? What kind of material evidence is left behind in relationships? And stuff like that. Kinda cool.

Global Women Writers was painful. ugh. "Going off of that..." UGH. I thought I'd love this class...but it's just a lot of reading really. I could rant forever.

Finally freed from that class I made a stop at the bookstore. Got ANOTHER book for the WGS class (that's seven!!) and grabbed a couple of drawing pencils. I was really excited about it. So I got some fries from the stud and met Dan and Deanna back in the room. After nearly falling a couple of times off of the dressers, desks and beds, we got the lights up in the room. Makes it so cozy. Laaaaaaaave it.

Oh yeah...this happened too.

So eventually Dan had to go to class, Deanna decided it was nap time and I finished my homework. Then I tried to read my book a bit but decided that a chat with Heather was better. Love those. I eventually got hungry and jumped on Deanna to wake her up. She was confused. So we went to go eat and had an especially awkward time. usual.

To end the day I drew a Disney Pic of the Day while watching Friends. Today was Lady and the Tramp. I don't know why but I'm loving this idea. And the pencils. love the pencils.

Here it is, Disney Pic of the Day #2:

Tangled.

Today started alright. Then it got great. So Laura stayed for one more night. We ended up just watching The Emperor's New Groove, eating popcorn and Reeses' Pieces. quality. So, with a bit of an earlier start than yesterday, we got meal equiv once again. Mocha creamices...let's just say it was an interesting choice.

Then we waited anxiously for my mom to come so we could get some more food for lunch...shocking that we were eating again, huh? ;) So we went to Applebee's for lunch. I got spinach and artichoke dip and ate all of it. Then Laur and I decided dessert would be a great idea and I got a chocolate OVERLOAD:

With our stomachs full, we headed back to campus to drop me off and say goodbye. For some reason, it was rough. I miss home. I miss the beach, I miss the fall in Point Pleasant. The sea air, the seagulls, the sounds, the small town. I feel comfortable there just walking around. I'm almost too contained here. I want to ride my bike with my friends. I know it's silly because they aren't there either and we all need to move on to "bigger and better things" and all that...but there are days where ya just miss it.

So, I went back to my room. Texted Aly. She was driving so Mrs. Spano answered and gave me some great advice. Reassured me that it would be fine. Then I got a fantastic text message asking "can I sleep over?".  happy. OF COURSE. So a few hours later Aly is driving around the loop at TCNJ. Got a parking pass and came back to the room. Made our rounds to see Andrew and Carl. Deanna was at a field hockey game and told us she would be home around 8. Time: 7:35. We wanted to surprise her. It was so worth it. She walked in the door to find Aly sitting on her blow up mattress and screeeeeamed. so great.

By then it was time for Breaking Bad. E.P.I.C.

Disney pic of the day #1: Tangled

No tracing involved. I absolutely looooooove drawing. Definitely more to come. ESPECIALLY Disney. I swear I will work there someday.

And of course, a selfie with Aly's glasses:

Love 'em.

Now we have such a night planned. Girls night sleepover. Girl talk, snacks, and (of course!!) lots of laughing involved. so excited. I love these people. <3

Lazy Bones.

Today was an extremely lazy day. After quite an eventful night with the crew team(half of which I didn't really know but with the ones I did we had a lot of fun seeing each other) we woke up at noon and finally left the room five minutes before one. Laura, Deanna, Dan and I attempted to make meal equiv on time at the lib cafe. For those non-TCNJ students, meal equiv is from 11-1:30 and you get $7.00 every day to spend at the campus restaurant (the Rat), the library cafe, etc etc. SO, when they say 1:30 that's it. After standing in line, and getting really nervous that we wouldn't make it because the employees were having a chat, we won meal equiv. 1:26. close call. I got a caramel frappuccino and Laur got a strawberry smoothie. Deeeelicious.

Next we decided it would be a good idea to eat so we took an adventure to Eickoff for ...well...I guess we'll call it lunch. Gave Laur the full tour and finally decided on grilled chicken to put on a salad with all the fixings. Side of french fries. Sat in the circle booth and couldn't stop laughing. Eventually we started to get tired of sitting there and came back to the room.

Like I said before...it's been an extremely lazy day. We turned on the tv and were mesmerized by Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. classic. So we just hung around until Deanna's mom came to give her fall clothes and I called Andrew to see if he wanted some visitors. Laur and I took a trip over to his dorm and then ended up going for a campus tour. Took a nice picture of Green Hall, the famous building here at TCNJ:

Adirondack chair and everything.

After going into and exploring almost every part of the campus and all buildings we once again came back to the room. So we attempted to FaceTime with the cutest kids in the entire world. But it quickly ended when the selfie king attempted to take a picture of himself and ended up ending the call instead....After that the wifi refused to work, but at least we got a few "I love you"s and "miss you miss you" along with a very detailed explanation of the pjs that Andrew was wearing and a view of Jackie's cute little face from the nose up (his favorite type of picture), which looks something like this:

IN LOVE with those kids. You'll hear (and see) tons more about them. <333

So Deanna and Dan are at her brothers football game and Laur and I had a little more bonding time over YouTube videos before we decided we were hungry again. Leftovers it was. We both agreed they were surprisingly more delicious than the night before. Tonight we are going to the movies to see Battle of the Year. So I'm excited about that. The Kings of Leon album came out last week and it's fantastic. It's call Mechanical Bull, go have a listen. My favorite song on it right now is Comeback Story:

That's just about it for now. I don't have too much more that I want to say about today, although for an extremely lazy day it seems like I could talk about quite a bit...

So, That's Life.

Hi.

Well, well, well. Hi. So this is my first blog ever. I was inspired by some really great people to start one so...here we are. I think what I'll talk about is just life in general, hence the name "That's Life." It's funny, I had a really hard time trying to figure out a name. It's like I was making the biggest decision ever and if you know me, I'm the worst at making decisions...Anyways, let's get on with it.

So I've officially been back at school for a month. Sophomore year. oh. boy. It's been so much better than last year. When people tell me about school, freshman year was always the best. Not for me, last year was rough. I decided to join the crew team...mistake. I loved it, don't get me wrong, but I've got three words for you: four. am. practices. So after taking a beating with my school work and almost failing out of school(I exaggerate, but still!) I decided enough was enough. Made some changes. Went from mechanical engineering major to computer science, quit crew and never looked back. Best choices ever.

So here I am now, loving every minute. I'm so much happier. I've decided that I want to join a sorority. I've been to four interest sessions so far: Delta Zeta, Kappa Delta, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Delta Phi Epsilon. Loved it. We rush in the spring so I'm getting myself together this fall. My mom does not like the idea at all. She doesn't see me in one and has the typical stereotype in her head. But everyone is so nice and all of the sisters seem to have such a great bond together. so. cute. I love close friendships. Love the little things. Don't want to brag BUT I've got the best friends in the world. (shoutout!) I haven't been friends with most of them for a long time but sometimes you just click, and I know they'll always be there. Love them so much.

It always amazes me how things just...change. Take high school for example. Going into my freshman year I was so quite and shy. Focused on school and did the same thing everyday. School, practice, homework. That's it. Three years went by just like that and before I knew it it was senior year. Then I met the greatest people ever. I really could go on about them forever. But I'll just say this. Things changed. All of a sudden I learned how to live again, started to break out of that shell. And I can't imagine my life without them. <3

Friends just came on. FAVORITE. I'm so obsessed it's not even real. I literally watch it almost every night. I want my life to be like Friends when I grow up. Living with your best friends and just going through everyday life. By now, everyone that I watch it with knows to clap at the beginning. It seems really silly but ya gotta love it.

I'm starting to get some grades back now. Got my first math test back today. 80. YEEEES. A great improvement from my grades last year. Feelin great today. My sister, Laura, is coming to visit this weekend and we are going to have a tiiiiime. So excited. On the list of things to do: get the best warm cinnamon sugar doughnuts and caramel apples you will ever eat at Terhune Orchards, take a trip to Princeton and act all preppy, and a crew party tonight. Not on the team but still invited, I seriously love that team. It's going to be great.  gamesgamesgames.

One thing I also think I'm going to do is post art that I've done. Love painting and drawing. And I absolutely love quotes and the beach and pictures and corny things like that. Expect those too. So here's the first one:

I love it because its chaotic and colorful and I just look at it and want to go have fun.

Alright, so I've got to go get ready for a lovely visit from my mom and Laura. Talked long enough, and I need to look nice because we're going out to dinner. I am starrrrrving.  No cafeteria food tonight. BONUS - leftovers. #college

So, that's life.
